INTRODUCTION

This section is intended to provide people suffering from painful hip problems with the information they need to help them better understand their condition. Most importantly, they will be better equipped to participate in the decision making process that Associate Professor Woodgate will lead them through regarding their care.

When patients and their carers have a clear understanding of the diagnosis, anatomical issues associated with their condition, and options for management, they tend to be better able to cope with the surgical intervention and what will happen during surgery as well as having realistic expectations of the recovery process.
